WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE?
Just getting to do something “extravagant” for myself. As a mom, I don’t do a lot for myself (sure, the salon once in a while) so it was a nice gift to myself before my 30th birthday.
DID ANYTHING CHANGE ABOUT HOW YOUR SEE YOURSELF?
I’ve been working on loving myself more, and never looked at myself as being beautiful or sexy. Looking at the images…or hell, even in the mirror in the studio…allowed me to see myself the way my husband does.
WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO DO A BOUDOIR SESSION?
I wanted to do one years ago when I got married but didn’t have the guts. As I approached my 30th birthday, I just said “Why not?!” As I said, I’m working in loving myself and being confident in my skin and figured this would help with that.
BEFORE YOUR SESSION, WHAT WERE YOU MOST NERVOUS ABOUT?
All of it! I have never liked photos of myself very much so the whole thing terrified me.
AFTER THE SHOOT, HOW DID YOU FEEL?
Initially…still nervous. Although I felt good with how I looked during the session, I was still nervous to see if the images would come out nice and hoping that my nervousness wouldn’t show too much.
WHAT WAS YOUR INITIAL REACTION TO THE IMAGES?
Surprised! I couldn’t believe some of those pictures were mine! I had such a hard time choosing, that I ended up just buying most of them.
ANY ADVICE FOR OTHERS LOOKING TO DO A SHOOT?
Just do it! My nerves were through the roof and I knew I would be my worst critic but I’m so glad I did it. You won’t regret doing it…but you will regret passing on the opportunity.
ARE THE PHOTOS A GIFT FOR YOURSELF OR SOMEONE ELSE?
Honestly, mostly for me!
