Recently I had joined AIBP (associate of international boudoir photographers), a wonderful community of like-minded business owners. It’s always great to be apart of communities, especially those who run their own businesses. It’s not an easy job but being surrounded by others who do it and successfully is a wonderful thing.

My What to Wear Wednesday was inspired by a newly painted piece in my shooting space and also the new store opening of Journelle, my favorite lingerie store in NYC. I have been on a major gold kick lately and decided to paint a frame I had gold instead of black. I have also been dreaming of some gold tones for lingerie. Something about it is so sexy!

Miss C is one of the lovely girls who will be receiving her package this week so I knew it was time for a little preview on the blog! I love her use of things in her drawers for her boudoir session because we all already have things we can use! She took this lace top and paired it with the bright purple, throw on some pearls and thigh-highs and bang! You got yourself a sexy outfit!

New York City Boudoir | Miss A’s sexy session

Ah, NYC. A couple weeks ago I headed to NYC for some more boudoir sessions and this time mother nature played the lead role in this clients session. With her makeup artist unable to get to her because of flooding on a major highway Miss A had to cancel and do her session on Sunday. I assured her it would go on without a hitch and we did it! Miss A was fabulous and we definitely hit it off during our session. I like usual talk nonstop and run over on time but that doesn’t matter because in the end I met another amazing women and got some great shots for her to last a lifetime!

Gorgeous before and gorgeous after! I am terrible at taking before pictures but Ramona loves when I do it and it is definitely great for future clients to see. We put a ton of work into your session and we want it to show. From the moment you inquire to the tips we give you along the way to the actual session and the editing after and to the final product. Every client comes in with a unique beauty and it’s our job to only make it come through that much more!! I am so happy L let me share her pictures because she was so amazing to work with!!

Who doesn’t love a good before and after? Yesterday L came in for her boudoir session at my Akron Studio so she could have a little black book to give to her man on their wedding. L rocking the shoot was an understatement! Once I cull through hundreds of images I’ll definitely be posting my favorites!

Makeup was done by the fabulous Ramona who does all my Akron sessions.

I have dying to share a session at my new space in Akron so here it is! I moved out of the Canton studio and now have a gorgeous house in Akron. It’s much more me and fits my vision of what I want my work to be perfectly. I loved the studio but the industrial look wasn’t really working for me and this is much more luxury hotel feeling. Also, Homegoods is not even 10 minutes away so I am always picking up new pieces! (Post on this coming later today!)

So without further ado, S! She is a gorgeous, gorgeous girl who was referred by a past client. She has a heart of gold is very witty and a blast to be around. This morning we spent the time linking bedspreads back and forth Simple pleasures!! Today she is giving her hubby his album and no doubt he is going TO LOVE IT. It’s being ordered as a sample for the studio so we you stop in for your session you’ll get to check it out!

Need ideas for your boudoir shoot?

One of the best parts of a boudoir session is that you can go out and shop for a few new pieces! However, I know it’s not always easy or do you really know where to even begin!

Right now animal prints are definitely in and Victoria’s Secret is stocked with different things to choose from! Do something simple like a bra or go all out and do a bra and panty set in a fun leopard print! Maybe you just want to do a animal print and a black bra and panty!

The next 3 are also from VS and until today I didn’t know they did themed outfits. I love the ballerina one!

Next stop: SHOES! My favorite place for shoes is Nine West. A black pair of heels is a definite for a boudoir session but a pair of awesome shoes can definitely make a simple outfit pop!

And after shoes what is next? Accessories! As a girl who wears pretty much zero jewelry, when I do buy it, I want it to be inexpensive. In my opinion the best place is Forever 21
